The Book of Cosmic Timing, Chapter 1, Verses 1-12
¹ And it came to pass in the beginning of all things, when the earth was yet without form, and void of appointments, that the Lord God did establish the first meeting betwixt Himself and His newly formed children.
² And Adam, being fashioned first from the dust of the earth, did arise early and present himself before the Lord at the appointed hour, for he had but one garment, and it was upon him.
³ But Eve, having been given dominion over all manner of clothing and adornment, did tarry in her chambers, saying unto herself, “What shall I wear before the Creator of all things? Surely not the fig leaf ensemble, for it doth not complement mine eyes.”
⁴ And she did try on many garments: leaves of the oak, and leaves of the maple, and even the feathers of the peacock, but none did seem fitting for such an occasion.
⁵ Meanwhile, Adam stood before the Lord, and they did wait, and the Lord looked upon His timepiece (which was the sun) and saw that it had moved considerably across the heavens.
⁶ And the Lord spake unto Adam, saying, “Verily, I have created time itself, yet even I cannot wait indefinitely, for I have other worlds to tend and galaxies to spin.”
⁷ “Therefore, hear me well, O Adam: I shall present unto thee a choice that shall affect all thy descendants unto the end of days.”
⁸ And Adam did listen with great attention, for he knew that the words of the Lord were weighty and true.
⁹ Then said the Lord, “Choose thou this day: Wilt thou have thy days numbered by monthly flowing of blood, or wilt thou bear beneath thy seat of cycling a rod of great sensitivity?”
¹⁰ And Adam, understanding not fully the implications of either choice, yet seeing that Eve was still occupied with her wardrobe considerations, did choose hastily for all mankind.
¹¹ Thus it was established from the foundation of the world that the daughters of Eve should bear the monthly burden, whilst the sons of Adam should carry their rod of vulnerability beneath them when they ride.
¹² And it is written that from this day forth, when the daughters of Eve speak of their monthly trials, they do call it the “cycle of menses,” in remembrance of the choice that was made whilst one did tardily choose her attire for cycling before the Lord.
