I don’t think I have actually ever seen someone thrown under a bus. It seems like it would take a lot of work, with lifting the person, timing it correctly with a passing bus etc…

Maybe you could do it with a little person and a very, very slow bus?

So why is this a phrase people use? “He threw me under the bus!”

It really has no meaning except for someone placing the blame on you…and if it were true, wouldn’t it be better to be run over by a bus than to face the truth? (And if you were, then you wouldn’t be able to utter that stupid phrase. Pancakes don’t talk, my friends.)

Maybe it should be something more possible.

She tripped me in the hall.

He kicked open my bathroom stall door.
